K-Drama Days respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information — your email, username and display name, and an optional birthday (month and day only, never the year).
- Profile photo — only if you choose to upload one.
- Content and activity you create — your watchlist, ratings, reviews, comments, community posts, collections, follows, reminders, and quiz, trivia, and personality-test results.
- Points and streaks — the points, badges, and login streaks you earn in the app.
- Reports you file — when you report a post, comment, or user, we store the report and any note you add so our team can review it.
- Notification token — if you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver them.
- Blocked users — the list of people you've blocked, so we can keep them out of your experience.
How We Use Your Information
- To run the core app — your account, watchlist, recommendations, community, and games.
- To personalize what you see, such as “Picked for You” suggestions based on the dramas you save and rate.
- To send notifications you've asked for (new followers, replies, reminders, and similar).
- To keep the community safe — reviewing reports and enforcing our guidelines.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
We use Sentry to capture crash and error reports so we can fix bugs and improve stability. When the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, Sentry collects technical information such as the error message, the screen you were on, your device model and operating system version, and a stack trace. This data is used only to diagnose and fix problems — it is never used to identify you personally, and we do not send your name, email, watchlist, or other account content to Sentry. We do not currently use any third-party analytics tools.
Advertising
K-Drama Days may show advertising to support the free version of the app. When ads are shown, our advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may collect a device advertising identifier and limited device information to deliver and measure ads. We do not share your name, email, watchlist, or other account content with advertisers. You can limit ad tracking at any time in your device's privacy settings, and K-Drama Days Golden members do not see ads.
On iOS, K-Drama Days will ask you for App Tracking Transparency permission after you finish onboarding. If you allow it, ads may be more relevant to your interests. If you deny it, the app and ads still work — you'll just see non-personalized ads. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Subscriptions and Payments
K-Drama Days Golden subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment card details. We use a subscription provider (RevenueCat) to confirm whether your subscription is active so we can unlock premium features.
Third-Party Services
- TMDB — drama posters and cast photos. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
- Supabase — secure authentication and data storage. Your data may be stored on servers located outside your country.
- OneSignal — delivers push notifications to your device.
- Sentry — collects crash and error reports so we can fix bugs.
- Apple App Store / Google Play / RevenueCat — process and verify subscriptions.
- Google AdMob — serves ads, where applicable.
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
- We do not share your account content or activity with advertisers.
- We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data and the content tied to it. We may retain limited records where required by law or to prevent abuse (for example, a record of a banned account).
Your Rights and Choices
- Update — edit your profile information anytime in the app.
- Delete — permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete Account.
- Delete after uninstall — if you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, email thekdramadays@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my account” and the email address you registered with. We'll process the deletion within 7 days.
- Notifications — control or turn off push notifications in your device settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or object to how your data is used. You can do most of this directly in the app, or email us at thekdramadays@gmail.com for help.
Children's Privacy
K-Drama Days is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in-app, and the “Last updated” date above will always reflect the latest version.
